What Exactly Does pop in home visits Include and Entail?
Puppies
Bringing home an adorable wee bundle of fluffy joy is such an exciting time for you and your family and in an ideal world staying home all day and bonding with your pup would be just grand! Of course work commitments and busy daily schedules don’t often allow for this so Hounds Abound can provide pop in visits to care for your new arrival when life gets in the way. During a pop in visit puppy will be fed and watered, let out for toilet breaks, have some play time for mental stimulation and be given lots of love, attention and cuddles. As puppies will thrive on routine your instructions for his or her care will be strictly adhered to as far as meal time routines, regular place to take for toileting, what you might want them learn or understand and so on. Pups cannot be left alone for long durations in the day! Especially for the first 6 months of their life they will need lots of care, companionship, exercise and needless to say tiny bladders can only hold on for so long. Pop in visits will give you peace of mind that your furbaby is being well cared for while you are out. After vaccinations are complete visits can progress on to short walks to help adjust to new outdoor experiences and introduce canine socialisation.
Elderly dogs
Just like us, the needs of our canine companions will change as they reach their senior years.
Slower and shorter walks coupled with lots of extra comfort, fussing and love can assist in adapting to their changing physical and emotional needs. Outdoor visits will be necessary for toilet breaks and walks, if required, can be tailored to fit with each individual dogs characteristics and abilities. Staying active and continuing with a routine of gentle walks, depending on needs, can assist in reducing health risks associated with obesity and provide mental stimulation. After making sure your senior canine companion is watered, fed, toileted and given any medication as specified the visit will end with cuddles and tummy tickles to help in settling them until you come home.
